I am fascinated with the microverse, that is to
say the universe that lives inside as well as outside of us, hidden
yet so influential, from the creation of new drugs that we have at our
disposal, to the simple digestion of food. These small societies of
life affect us on a constant basis and yet they are also in flux, changing
the environments around them even as they themselves are changed. The drama and conflict within this micro cosmic reality is numerous, deadly and amazing. From large-scale wars, issues of population, migration, and consumption of resources, they mirror our own human societies in many ways. This series of works is a reflection of our shared existence, as well as a harbinger of where perhaps our future lies. |
